Questions & answers about TYPO3 monitoring
What does SYSSY do?
SYSSY monitors your websites and carries out regular monitoring. It not only checks whether the website is online and working, but also checks the TYPO3 version and TYPO3 extensions for security vulnerabilities.
PHP and MySQL versions are also checked for security vulnerabilities.
So you are always up to date and can react quickly to security gaps.
SYSSY works not only for TYPO3, but also for WordPress!
Which TYPO3 versions are supported?
The SYSSY extension for TYPO3 is available in the TYPO3 TER (TYPO3 Extension Repository).
There are currently several versions of the extension available and TYPO3 versions 7 - 13 are supported in normal (legacy) and Composer installations.
How does TYPO3 monitoring work?
There is a TYPO3 extension that you can use to connect your website to SYSSY. After a successful connection, SYSSY collects and evaluates the important information on a daily basis.
If errors or security vulnerabilities are found, you will be notified by email or app notification.
How often is my website monitored?
SYSSY checks the websites several times an hour. Minute-by-minute monitoring is currently not possible, but there are plans to introduce more frequent monitoring.
Can website updates be made directly via SYSSY?
No, we do not carry out updates. You will only be notified that there are necessary updates.
Where is SYSSY hosted?
SYSSY runs in a data centre in Nuremberg (Germany). This means that the data stored by SYSSY never leaves the EU.
Is SYSSY GDPR compliant?
Yes, we do not collect any personal data that would be relevant to the GDPR. We only collect technical data that we need for the analysis.
Does SYSSY also work with other CMS?
Yes, SYSSY is designed so that any CMS can be connected.
However, the WordPress plugin is currently still mainly in use, which allows both TYPO3 and WordPress websites to be monitored.
Further plugins and extensions for CMS are still in the beta phase. Please contact us for more information.
